Instagram is reportedly testing a Sticker feature that will show the lyrics to the song playing in the background of a Story. This new feature was detected by reverse engineer Jane Manchun Wong, who demonstrated its working in a tweet. In the GIF image shared on Twitter, a short music video from Rick Ashley's “Never Gonna Give You Up” can be seen playing alongside its lyrics in a Story. Still in development, the information about the feature first surfaced in April. The are no details about which regions will get the feature.
The feature adds to the ‘Music Sticker’ that was launched in June last year. It enables users to add soundtracks to their Stories. To add music, users will have to select the music icon located under 'stickers'. once selected, users will be given an option to add a specific song to their Story. Instagram notes that it has a “library of thousands of songs” from which users can choose music, with more music being added to the library every day.
Instagram added an additional Lyrics Sticker style. The sticker is now more synchronized with the lyrics. previously: https://t.co/ACx4SqYPhl pic.twitter.com/GSFq8NcFnX

There is also an option to preview listen a track by tapping the ‘Play’ icon that is right next to it. After selecting a song, users can even fast-forward or rewind through the track to choose the exact part that fits the Story. When people are watching their stories, they will hear the song playing as they are viewing a photo or video. They will also see a sticker showing the song title and artist name.
The feature is not available in India yet so it is likely that when the lyrics feature rolls out for the masses, India won’t be included in the list. Recently, Instagram launched interactive Quiz Stickers, a feature to increase user engagement through Stories. Users can give their quiz a name and add up to four (or as few as two) possible answers. Users can even customise the colour of their quiz. As the creator of the quiz, users pick the right answer when creating it. Once the quiz is shared to the story, users will be able to see who answered correctly in their viewer list. The responses to the quiz stay on even after the story expires.
