Huawei has confirmed that it will launch the Nova 5i Pro on July 26 in China. The phone will add to the Nova 5, Nova 5 Pro, and Nova 5i phones that have already been launched and are available in China. The company made the announcement via a teaser video shared on its Wiebo handle. The Chinese tech giant has also announced that the phone is now available for pre-booking. It has been reported that the phone will be launched as Mate 30 Lite in the international markets.
Earlier this week, the live images of the Huawei Mate 30 Lite aka Nova 5i Pro were leaked online. Chinese tipster Wang Fenjin posted a detailed in-hand look of the phone on his Weibo profile. Additionally, the phone was spotted on Chinese regulatory site TENAA last week. In the teaser video mentioned above, the company has also confirmed some design elements and specs of the phone.
What’s confirmed is that the phone will feature a punch-hole display and a quad camera setup on the back. The clip shows a fingerprint sensor below the camera module on the back. It is also confirmed that the phone will come equipped with the HiSilicon Kirin 810 chipset, which also powers the recently launched Honor 9X and 9X Pro. The SoC may be paired with up to 8GB RAM and up to 256GB of internal storage.
Rumours have suggested that the phone may feature a 6.26-inch display, and the punch hole is said to house a 32MP sensor. The quad camera setup on the back is expected to come equipped with 48MP primary sensor, an 8MP sensor, and two 2MP sensors with an LED flash. The smartphone is rumoured to ship with a 3900mAh battery.
