When Oppo launched the Reno series smartphones earlier this year, it confirmed that it was discontinuing the Oppo R lineup for the flagship devices. The company said it would continue with Oppo Find and Oppo Reno devices. Now, it looks like Oppo is working on the Z-series smartphones. According to the latest reports, Oppo has trademarked 13 new smartphones, which are expected to be released under this new Z lineup.

Oppo has reportedly trademarked for 2Z, 3Z, 4Z, 5Z, 6Z, 7Z, 8Z, 9Z, 10Z, 20Z, 30Z, 40Z, and 50Z smartphones. All of these are under category 9 in the European Union Intellectual Property Office. The trademark is described as “mobile phones; smartphones; smartphone software; headsets; battery chargers.”

The launch details and timeline of the Oppo Z-series of devices is unknown for now. However, Oppo is rumoured to launch another smartphone under the Reno series. The Oppo Reno Ace is said to launch in October. It is touted to feature 65W SuperVOOC fast-charging technology. Moreover, the Oppo Reno Ace is tipped to sport 90Hz display. It is also rumoured to be powered by the Snapdragon 855+ chipset.

Last month, Oppo launched the Oppo Reno2 series. The company introduced three phones today, namely, the Oppo Reno2, Oppo Reno2Z, and Oppo Reno2F. The Oppo Reno2 features a 6.55-inch AMOLED Panoramic display. It sports a 93.1 percent screen to body ratio. It is powered by the Snapdragon 730G chipset, paired with 8GB RAM and 256GB of internal storage.

In the optics department, Oppo Reno2 features a quad rear camera setup: a 48MP primary camera, assisted by a 13MP telephoto lens, an 8MP wide-angle lens, and a 2MP mono lens. The phone has 2x optical zoom, 5x hybrid zoom, 20x digital zoom.
