The annual Adobe MAX conference in the US just got over and as one might expect, the company showcased a bunch of tools that creators will get to play with in the future. One of them was #ProjectAboutFace. This tool uses machine learning to identify manipulation in an image and gives a probability manipulation. It is also able to generate a heatmap of the manipulation so that a user can recognise where exactly it has been added. Further, it can also undo these adjustments and show the original image. The tool was demonstrated live on stage and you can check it out in the video below.

The propagation of fake news and fake images on social media is a grave cause for concern. Instant messaging services like WhatsApp are at the center of the controversy in India which many claiming that the Facebook-owned service is not doing enough to curb its spread. To its credit, the platform has introduced a bunch of changes aimed at curbing its spread. This includes limited the number of people a message can be forwarded to at one time. Back in March this year, it was reported that WhatsApp was testing a feature that performed a reverse image search on images forwarded by others. As per reports, the feature used Google’s Search by Image to perform the reverse search.

Coming back to Adobe Max, the event has been going on since 4 November and ended on 6 November. The company has already unveiled a number of changes to its suite of Creative Cloud applications. You can check out more on what Adobe showcased here.
