Samsung held its Awesome Galaxy A event online and announced three new phones namely — Galaxy A73 5G, Galaxy A53 5G, and Galaxy A33 5G. Thanks to a bunch of leaks and rumours, we knew the design as well some of the specifications of these Galaxy phones. There are some surprises though. The top-end model rocks a Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G chip while the other two use an Exynos 1280 processor. The software experience on top of all the three handsets is Android 12 with 4 years of OS update promise. These are nice but what’s not is the fact that Samsung isn’t shipping chargers or earphones with these Galaxy A-series devices. They don’t have a headphone jack either.

Samsung Galaxy A73 5G flaunts a 6.7-inch FHD+ 120Hz AMOLED display with an Infinity-O cutout. By the back, there is a 108MP+ 12MP (ultrawide)+ 5MP (depth)+ 5MP (macro) quad camera setup. Inside, it wields a Snapdragon 778G, a 5000mAH battery (with 25W fast charging) and Android 12-based One UI 4.1 software (with 4 years of OS upgrades).
Samsung Galaxy A53 5G has got a 6.52-inch 120Hz FHD+ sAMOLED display with an Infinity-O hole. The front camera is a 32MP sensor. At the back, it houses a 64MP+12MP+5MP+5MP quartet. Inside, it carries an in-house made Exynos 1280 SoC, 5000mAh battery with 25W charging support, and Android 12 based One UI 4.1 with 4 years of platform updates.
Finally, there is the Samsung Galaxy A33 5G with a 6.4-inch 90Hz FHD+ AMOLED display, a 48MP+ 8MP (ultrawide) +5MP (macro) +2MP (depth) rear camera setup, Exynos 1280 SoC, a 5000mAh battery with 25W charging, and Android 12 based One UI 4.1 software with 4 years of OS upgrades.
Besides the software similarity, they all have IP67 dust and water resistance. But they all lack a 3.5mm audio jack on their chassis as well as no earphones or chargers in the box.

Samsung Galaxy A73 5G and A33 5G will be available in select markets from April 22 through Samsung.com. You can pick them in Black, Blue, White, and Peach colours.
Meanwhile, the Galaxy A53 5G will be retailing in the US from March 31 through Samsung.com, and select carriers. Those who pre-order it will win a free pair of Galaxy Buds Live.
The pricing will be revealed later for various markets based on availability.
